I’ve already written up my year in retrospect, eight pages of it in my bullet journal, but most of that is too personal to put it up online. And since I don’t really do resolutions, I can’t list those here, either. But I do have a to-do list of sorts, stuff I know I need or want to do this coming year, and I can share that.

This month, I want to finish my driver’s license. I’ve failed the test once, but I was ridiculously nervous then, so maybe the second time around will be easier.

By the end of March, I need to finish my English degree. It’s time. And I do have other exciting plans in the works as far as my career goes, which is another incentive to finally get that over with.

Also at the end of March, I want to go to the Leipzig Book Fair. I’ve never been (to the fair, to any book fair, or to Leipzig), so I’m really looking forward to that.

After that, I will probably go on a trip somewhere, and after THAT, it’s time to find a new job because by that point, I will be very nearly out of money.

In May, there will hopefully be another Polyglot Gathering that I will most certainly be attending. It was so much fun last year.

So far, I don’t have any fixed plans beyond May. Generally speaking, in 2017, I need to figure out whether I want to get a (permanent) tattoo. I’ve had a temporary one for a few days to see if I like it at all, and I do, but I’m still not 100% sure I won’t regret getting inked in the long run. I really do want to, though.

I also want/need to clean out my basement. I never did empty all the boxes I brought with me last time I moved, and I should probably just toss them all considering I haven’t needed anything from them in the past two and a half years, but you never know what might be in there, and I wouldn’t want to throw anything precious away.

And last but not least, I want to restart certain parts of my life that I’m no longer happy with. No details on this yet, you’ll have to wait a while to get those, but that is my main focus for this year: starting over. Here’s hoping it’ll go better than my focus for last year did…
